Meet The Crown
Not every head gets The Crown. According to its card, it sits only on true room royalty, and it has strong opinions about who deserves it. You cannot ask for it, and you certainly cannot argue with it. It simply decides, settles on the chosen one with a metallic gleam, and waits for the room to notice.
'Bow, or at least nod politely.' The Crown is demanding, but it is not unreasonable: a nod will do. Its type is Royal, and its special ability is Royal Decree, which obliges everyone to say 'nice' to the next message. Anyone who has seen a chat react in chorus to a friend's good news knows that this decree is sometimes a kindness.
How to get The Crown
Take your seat in the Sociale chat, on xat.com/Sociale or mysociale.net/chat, where a sticker drops about every 5 minutes. When The Crown appears, type !catch faster than everyone else. MewBots sends you a code in private: type it on the Mew Pop page within 5 minutes, or the crown finds another head. It never comes in packs.
Stats, rarity and swaps
The Crown and Champion Cup are the two epics of Sociale Classics, and they read like rivals. The Crown has the better guard, with defence 80 against the Cup's 70, level with Diamond and behind only The Planet and Guardian. The Cup leads in HP, attack and speed, so The Crown totals 285 to its 290. Being chat only and epic, it is one of the hardest Classics to complete, and a duplicate carries real weight in a swap.
Questions about The Crown
How rare is The Crown?
The Crown is one of the two epics of Sociale Classics, with Champion Cup. Each drop is epic with 8% odds, and since The Crown is chat only, those chances apply only in the Sociale chat. MewBots lists it at 1000 xats. Together with The Planet, it is among the toughest Classics to get.
What does Royal Decree say?
Royal Decree is The Crown's special ability: everyone must say 'nice' to the next message. It is printed on the card with the Royal type and the four stats, as a joke about the chat replying in chorus. Nobody is really forced to type anything; it is part of The Crown's personality.
Is The Crown stronger than Champion Cup?
It depends on what you look at. The Crown has the higher defence, 80 against 70. Champion Cup wins on HP (80 to 75), attack (75 to 70) and speed (65 to 60), for 290 total points against 285. Both are epic, metallic, chat only and worth 1000 xats, and you need both to hand in the series.
