Meet Lightning
They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. This one does, just to prove a point. Lightning is the bolt of Sociale Classics, and its card is honest about its hobbies: striking for effect and draining phone batteries for fun. If your screen dimmed while you were reading the chat, now you know who to blame.
'Shockingly good, and I know it.' Modesty is not in the Electric type's vocabulary. Its special ability is Thunder Ping, which notifies everyone at once. Everyone. The card says it twice, and anyone who has ever been pinged by half the room in the same second understands the warning perfectly.
How to get Lightning
Lightning strikes in three places. In the Sociale chat, type !catch as soon as it drops, then enter the code from MewBots within 5 minutes. On mysociale.net/album, press Catch it. Or open your packs, each with 3 Mew Pop stickers: you earn them with active time, daily visits and a 7-day bonus.
Stats, rarity and swaps
Lightning is the fastest card in Sociale Classics, with speed 85, ahead of Rocket Launch at 75 and The Planet at 70. Its attack of 80 is second only to The Planet's 85. HP 55 and defence 45 keep it light, the opposite of Guardian. With 265 total points it is the strongest rare on paper. Collectors chase it for that profile, and a spare Lightning is easy to place in a swap.
Questions about Lightning
Is Lightning the fastest Sociale Classics sticker?
Yes. Its speed of 85 is the highest of the twelve, ten points above Rocket Launch and fifteen above The Planet and Shooting Star. Lightning also has attack 80, behind only The Planet. These numbers are printed on the card with its Electric type and its ability, as part of its personality.
What does Thunder Ping do on Lightning's card?
Thunder Ping notifies everyone at once. Everyone. It is a joke about the mass ping that lights up every phone in the room, and it matches Lightning's habit of draining batteries for fun. The ability is printed on the card; luckily, it does not send real notifications to anybody.
Is Lightning worth swapping for?
For many collectors, yes. It is one of three rares in Sociale Classics, listed at 250 xats, and its speed 85 and attack 80 make it the stand-out rare on paper. If you already own it, a duplicate is a good offer when you are missing another rare; the other member has 24 hours to answer.
