What "official xat chat" really means
According to the xat wiki page Chats (last edited on 8 June 2025), "official" means that the chat group is owned by xat.com. The xat staff does not run these rooms day to day: they are managed by users appointed by xat.
The same page has a second list, Unofficial / Tribute chats: rooms that are not run by xat but that xat recognises as useful, with a positive history in the community and moderation that follows the xat Terms of Service. A room can apply to be added through the xat forum.
Everything else is a community room: created by users, with its own staff, rules and style. Most of the life on xat today happens there, so the best room for you is often not an official one.
Official xat rooms, by purpose and language
Help rooms
Help (English), Ayuda (Spanish), Italia (Italian), Assistance (international), Ajuda (Portuguese) and Yardim (Turkish). Go here for problems with your account, powers or xats.
Trade rooms
Trade (English), Cambio (Spanish) and Loja (international), for trading powers and xats. Read the rules of each room and the xat guide on scams before any trade.
Community rooms: where people actually hang out
Help and trade rooms are made for a task. If you want to talk, play and come back tomorrow to the same people, look for a community room with a clear identity: a language, a staff you can name, rules written somewhere and something happening every week.
Sociale (xat.com/Sociale) is one of them. It is an international room where most people write in Spanish, with English and Italian speakers too. It has a volunteer staff (Main Owners xEmma, Dev, Papu and Beei), written rules with strikes, kicks and bans, and games in the room: XP levels with Chat & Win (10,000 xats at level 10), +Randnum elimination rounds and the Super Powers badges, whose 2026 top 3 win Ruby, Gold and Purple xat powers.
It also has its own website, mysociale.net, available in English, Spanish and Italian, with a free account, daily quiz and poll, quiz tournaments, minigames, stickers and the Sociale Card, which turns activity on the site into real XP on your xat profile. Transparency note: this guide is published by Sociale, so judge it by the facts above and try other rooms too.
