Welcome! If you are reading this, you have probably just discovered Sociale, or you have been chatting with us for a while and want to know more. Either way, this is the right place to start.
What is Sociale?
Sociale is a chat room on xat (xat.com/Sociale) where people from every country meet to talk, play and have a good time. All languages are welcome, and there is always someone to say hello to. You can join straight from our chat page, no download needed.
A community, not just a chat
What makes Sociale special is the people. There are regulars who have been around for years, newcomers who arrived yesterday, and everything in between. We share jokes, music, good days and bad days. Our goal is simple: a place where anyone can feel welcome and safe.
The staff
A team of volunteers looks after the room: owners and moderators who answer questions, welcome new people and make sure the six room rules are respected, fairly and for everyone. You can meet them on the staff page. If you need help, just ask one of them in the chat or write to us through the contact form.
Events and games
There is always something going on: contests like Chat & Win, the Super Powers badge race, games and theme nights. Keep an eye on the events page and tap “I’m in!” on the ones you like. Got an idea for the next event? Suggest it: the best ideas become real events.
The Sociale Card
Being active in Sociale is rewarded. With the Sociale Card you get real XP in the chat for simple things you do on the website:
- a daily check-in, with bonuses when you keep your streak going;
- the quiz and the poll of the day;
- joining and attending events;
- commenting on news and events, and suggesting event ideas;
- inviting your friends.
Create your free account, request your card with your xat name and ID, and the staff will activate it. Remember: never use your xat password on our website. Choose a different one.

- Add a picture and a short bio to your profile.
- Request your Sociale Card.
- Join the chat room and say hello!
