Questions

What is Sociale Radio?

Sociale Radio is the radio of the Sociale community. DJs of the community host live shows, and when nobody is on air it plays music non-stop. You listen for free on mysociale.net, also while you chat.

How do I listen?

Press play on this page. To listen while you chat, open Chat mode: the radio player stays in the chat panel while you move around the site and play the games.

Can I request a song?

Yes. When a DJ is live, write the song or a dedication in the box under the player. You need a free Sociale account. One request every 3 minutes, and the DJ chooses what to play.

How do I know when my favourite DJ is live?

Follow the DJ on Sociale: you get a notification when they go on air and 15 minutes before each of their shows. The bot also announces live shows in the Sociale chat room.

How do I become a DJ?

Apply as Radio DJ on the Join the team page. Tell the staff which music you play, when you can be on air and send a link to a mix. When the staff approves you, you get your DJ area with your personal key to go on air.

Which program do I need to be a DJ?

Any program that streams to Icecast: BUTT (free, Windows, Mac and Linux), Mixxx (free), VirtualDJ, Traktor or a mobile app for Icecast. Your DJ area explains every setting step by step.

Do DJs get XP?

Yes. Every full hour of a live show gives XP on xat through the Sociale Card (up to 4 hours a day), and DJs get the DJ badge on their profile.
