From 6 October 2026, the Super Powers of MewBots count only real conversation. Spam, flood and copied texts no longer make any badge grow. Here is what changed, why, and what it means for you.
What changed
Super Powers are the badges MewBots gives you while you chat on xat.com/Sociale. Some members were trying to unlock them faster by flooding the chat, repeating the same message or pasting long texts. That made the chat worse for everyone and the race for the end-of-year prizes unfair.
Now MewBots simply ignores these messages when it counts your badges.
What no longer counts
- Repeated messages: the same message sent again and again.
- Flood: from the 11th message in a row while nobody else is talking.
- Long texts copied or pasted: you need at least 10 seconds of typing for every 100 characters since your previous message. A long text already posted in the room in the last 30 days doesn't count either, even if someone else wrote it or you change capitals, quotes or smileys.
- Quoted text in your replies: only the words you write yourself count.
- xat's automatic translation.
Daily limits
Some badges now have a daily limit. Every day, at most:
| What | Counts per day |
|---|---|
| Long messages (The Novelist) | 10 |
| Greetings (Good Morning Champion) | 3 |
| Links | 10 |
Everything else you write keeps counting as usual.
What it means for you
- If you chat naturally, nothing changes. Talk, laugh, ask questions and play: your badges grow exactly as before.
- What you already unlocked stays yours. The season was not recalculated: your points, levels and position are safe.
- Spam no longer pays off. Progress now grows more slowly only for people who were spamming, so the leaderboard rewards the members who really live the room.
- The rules still apply. Flood and repeated messages are also against the room rules: the staff can still sanction them in the chat.
How to see what counts for each badge
On our Super Powers page, every badge now shows two short notes under its description: what counts and what doesn't count. For example, for The Novelist only your own messages of at least 200 characters count, at most 10 a day, and a text already posted in the room doesn't.
You can still follow your progress with !level and !poteri in the chat, and see the live leaderboard.
The prizes don't change
At the end of 2026 the top three of Sociale's Super Powers leaderboard still win Ruby, Gold and Purple xat powers. All the details are on the Super Powers 2026 event page.
