Meet Potion
A small glass bottle, a cork pushed in slightly too tight, and a liquid that glows a suspicious shade of green. Potion does not come with instructions. It might grant wisdom. It might grant hiccups. The label, if there ever was one, peeled off a long time ago, and nobody has dared to write a new one.
Its sales pitch is a little worrying: 'Drink me. What could possibly go wrong?' Everything, probably, and that is the fun. Its type is Potion and its ability, Mystery Brew, has a random effect: results may vary. It is the one card in the series that even its owner cannot fully predict, which is why people keep looking at it.
How to get Potion
Potion can be caught anywhere. When it drops in the Sociale chat, type !catch or press Catch it on mysociale.net/album; the first member takes it. Packs can contain it too, and you earn them with active time on the site, daily visits and a bonus every 7 days in a row. Drops end on 2 November.
Stats, rarity and swaps
Potion is the middle rare of Halloween 2026. Its 65 attack sits between Cauldron's 60 and Black Cat's 70, its 60 speed between their 35 and 80, while 55 HP and 50 defence are the lowest of the three rares, for 230 points. No extremes, just a steady card. It shares the Potion type with Cauldron, so many collectors keep the two side by side. Rares drop 25% of the time: a spare one swaps well.
Questions about Potion
What does Mystery Brew do?
Mystery Brew is Potion's special ability: a random effect, results may vary. The card itself does not promise anything more, and that matches the sticker's description, wisdom or hiccups. It is part of Potion's character, printed on the card with its type and stats, not a mechanic in a game.
How does Potion compare to the other rares?
Potion prints 55 HP, 65 attack, 50 defence and 60 speed, 230 points in total. Cauldron is sturdier (75 HP, 70 defence) and Black Cat is faster (80 speed). Potion stays in the middle on attack and speed. All three rares are worth 250 xats on MewBots.
Are Potion and Cauldron related?
They share the Potion type, and the story suggests the bottle could have come out of the bubbling pot. On the album they are two separate stickers: Potion is no. 10 and Cauldron is no. 8, both rares of Halloween 2026, both needed to hand in the series.
