Meet Joystick
Up, up, down, down, left, right... Joystick knows the old codes by heart and enters them with total confidence. The only problem is that one button that sticks, the one nobody admits to breaking. The stick is a little worn, the base a little scratched, and it is already ready for another round.
Its ability, Button Mash, is honest about the method: it wins by pure chaos, no plan required. The quote shows its energy: 'Player one, ready! Player two, wake up.' Joystick is the friend who has already pressed start while you are still choosing your character, and who swears the sticky button was like that before.
How to get Joystick
Joystick can be caught in all three ways. When it drops in the Sociale chat, write !catch or press Catch it on mysociale.net/album, and the first one wins. It can also turn up in a pack of 3 stickers: you earn one every 15 minutes of active time on the site, up to 4 a day.
Stats, rarity and swaps
Joystick is the quickest of the six Arcade commons: 60 speed, level with the rares The Troll and Crossed Swords. The price is 35 defence, the lowest of any common and above only Bomb (30) in the whole series. With 45 HP and 50 attack it is a nervous, all-in card that fits Button Mash. As a common it drops often, so duplicates pile up fast and work well as easy gifts or swap filler.
Questions about Joystick
Is Joystick fast compared to the other Arcade stickers?
Yes, for a common. Its 60 speed is the highest of the six commons in the Arcade series and equal to The Troll and Crossed Swords. Only Bomb (65), High Score (75) and Golden Wheel (95) are quicker. On the other hand its defence of 35 is the lowest among the commons.
What is the Button Mash ability of Joystick?
Button Mash is printed on the card: Joystick wins by pure chaos. It describes the sticker's personality, the player who hammers every button and hopes for the best, and has no effect in a game. Together with the Gaming type, it makes this card a small portrait of anyone who has ever worn out a joystick.
Is a duplicate Joystick worth anything?
MewBots lists every common at 10 xats, so a single Joystick is not a treasure. A duplicate still has uses: you can give it to a friend who follows you back, or add it to a swap. Handing in the Arcade series needs only one copy of each of the 12 stickers, and extra copies stay in your album.
